North Carolina Girl Missin Sun Drop!
I grew up in North Carolina (with a bottling plant less than a mile away from me) and we always had sundrop in our fridge. I never drank anything else! Now, I live in northern Virginia and HATE that it's not sold up here! Whenever we go back home to visit or just driving through to Charleston, SC (it ain't there either), I always stock up on some to bring back home with me.

sun drop kid
I recently moved from Athens Al to Lagrange Ga. I missed my family but also Sundrop. Every time I go home I stock up. It is such a favorite in Athens that when a guy passed away at a local cemetary they asked for sundrop bottles on his grave instead of flowers. I know because he is buried close to my grand father. They call him the Sundrop Kid.

Sun-Drop Reality Show
After reading all of the sad stories from those who cannot get Sun-drop locally, I believe it is time for the Sun-drop reality show. Let's just see what contestants would do for a delicious Sun-drop. Count me in because there is no Sun-drop in North Texas. Thank goodness our family gets to Tullahoma, TN a couple of times a year to stock up. And the ones in the glass bottles with the pulp (that's where all the vitamins are!) are simply the finest drink ever. It's like having a party in your mouth.

Anyone up for starting a distributorship in Texas?

Sundrop, The Only Soda for Me
I was raised in Gaston County, NC. I now live in Charlotte and wouldn't live anywhere else in the world b/c of this drink. I'm 30 and I've been drinking it as long as I can remember. The only thing I don't like is going to a rest. and they don't have Sundrop so I'm forced to get tea or some other lame soda. I drink Sundrop so much that people I work with are scared to touch my Sundrops :) I've even had one person tell me I should paint my car green and put the Sundrop logo on my car, and I've also gotten cases of Sundrop for B-Day gifts...that's awesome!!!! I'm so glad for this drink. It's an addiction for real, if I didn't have it or couldn't get access to it. I think I would have to go to rehab!!! I LOVE SUNDROP!!!!! 4-EVER!!!!

SUNDROP COAST_COAST
I haved lived all my life about fifteen minutes from Tullahoma, born and raised on sundrop. I took a flat with me to Denver Colorado for a conference. I met a guy from Wyoming, and almost have him converted. I'm having to ship him several a month. He loves the stuff. I'm glad its a regional thing. It makes us appreciate it more, but wish it was offered to everyone. My buddy is in the marines and he cant get it where he's stationed. :(

SUndrop tastes vary
I used to work at the local IGA store in Mexico.MO back in high school in 1977, and we used to separate the returned bottles ,and I was always curious about the Sundrop bottle we would get but there was no distributer to pick up the emptys because we didn't sell it. Once a year the assistant manager would load up a van full of Sundrop bottles to take to the next county(Montgomery) where they sold it and would take the bottles. It wasn't until 1985 that I tried it and was hooked, those giant 16 oz returnable bottle that were bottled in New Haven,MO were the best!!! Years later they were phased out but I still enjoyed it in all the forms and from all bottlers, nowdays my favorite are the glass non-returnable ones from Jacksonville,NC, and Watertown Wisconsin.I dont care for the ones from Purchase,NY or NOrthlake, ILL must be different formula oh well love drop always!!!

Sundrop now in Metro Atlanta
After years and years of hauling Sundrop from north Alabama to Atlanta, my son, now ten years old and a huge Sundrop fan, spotted some in Kroger! We now buy about 2 twelve packs a week on average from Kroger over here in Gwinnett County, Georgia. There is no drink which can replace Sundrop. It's taste and kick are the best.

Wisconsin SunDrop lover
I am from Janesville Wisconsin and I grew up in the country near a small Town with a population of about 15 people called Leydon. They had a small gas station there, and that's where we first had it. That was the only place we could find it. Years later they started selling it in Janesville. I have been drinking it since I was 12 yrs old and am now 39. I moved to Milwaukee Wisconsin 9yrs ago, and no SunDrop. Finally about a year ago they started selling it in Pick N Save grocery stores. They only have about 4 12pks on the shelves at a time and I usually buy all of them. I am surprised it is not as well know even being around for so long. I am so happy they have it here now.

Hopeful in Douglasville, GA
I have lived in GA, now for five years. The only way I got my Sundrop was to drive to N.C. to get it,(A Five Hour Drive). Then, a miracle happened....The local Ingle's grocery store had on it's shelf...I was so happy....then, just as my pray's had been answered they had no more.. Sad but true. Now I am in the store every weeek or at least calling to get my wonderful Sundrop back on the shelf.

Still Hopeful

I miss the Drop
I was driving home toay here in Las Vegas and got to thinking how much I used to enjoy a cold Sun Drop. I had a many as a .young boy in central Iowa. Have been a loyal Mt. dew fan for many years now. The last Sun Drop I came across was out at a Super Market, Wasn't the same though, not the can stuff they sold here. How pretty the pieces of citrus were in the bottem. What a tasty drink. I wish I had one in my hand right now

WANT Sundrop in Florida
Can anyone tell me why Sundrop is not in Florida? I have been here since 1991. I grew up on Sundrop in NC. I am just tired of carting it here on my once a year trip back home. My dad brings me some when he comes here, but of course I run out. After looking at some of the other "stories", you would think that the company would expand in to other states. We NEED it here in Florida!!!

No 'Drop in TX :(
I lived in Manchester/Tullahoma TN for about 13yrs and drank Sundrop and Cherry Sundrop only. I've since enlisted in the USAF and have come to know that no one knows what I'm talking about. My mom now sends me Cherry/Lemon Sundrop from time to time no matter where I'm station; which at this time is in San Angelo TX.

I'm a diehard fan and I share with my local friends... I've made converts of them. :) Long live Sundrop!

Sun Drop
I have been drinking Sun Drop for almost 12 years now. You know you are a true fan when you wake up from having surgery and fellow co-workers have a cold Sun-Drop as your "snack" before you go home. My 3 year old is also a big fan (although I do limit hers). i have a picture of her when she was nine months old holding an empty can with the biggest grin ever! When we go on vacation, I make sure it is available, if not, we pack a suitcase or two for the road! Please expand your distirbution.......My biggest fear is being caught without one available!!!!!!

We Bleed Sundrop Here
The entire Clintonville/Shawano WI grew up on sundrop. And I am proud to be an addict. Lucky for me, I only live 10 min from the bottling company in Shawano. You can't go into a store or bar that doesn't carry it in this area. MMmm MMmm MMmm! Even the local movie theaters carry it. (Sorry, I don't mean to rub it in to all you unfortune addicts) I just count my blessings. The small town of Marion even has it's own SunDrop Kid. The old man proudly displays it on his truck's bug shield. When travelling, the numero uno thing we make sure to bring with (in excess) is sundrop. (Then we share with strangers we meet out of state and get them addicted. We are an evil lot.) Seriously, though, I honestly don't think I could live anywhere that didn't have sundrop. I tried to drink a mountain dew for the 1st time in a few years, dumped it after the first sip (I used to love the stuff!). It is a main staple and if you cut us, our blood runs citrus yellow!

my first sundrop
I was given my first sundrop in July of 1977, I was 14 years old. I arrived at my brother's house in Pulaski, Tennessee (I live in Florida) and tasted my first sundrop. I will never forget the taste, it was the best tasting soda I had ever tried. I brought some sundrop back to Florida with me but it didn't last long. I went to North Carolina in 1981, with a friend, and while her mother was researching an inherited property in the courthouse I spotted a sundrop soda machine. I screamed, "SUNDROP"!!! and ran over to it. My friend thought I was "losing it". My mom and I moved to Pulaski in 1982 and we rented a house from the owner's of The Sundrop Bottling Company (The Shackleford's) and they were the nicest people. I really do hope that sundrop makes its way to Miami, I know it will be a hit!!!

Sundrop 2006
Still no Sundrop in Florida. With such popularity, what is causing it not to be released in other states? I don't think Squirt compares; it's too acidic.

SunDrop lover for life!!
I have lived my whole life on Sundrop. I am from a small town outside St. Louis, MO and have never been disloyal to the "Drop." I take it with me whenever I go on a trip no matter how far or long I will be away. I even had it shipped to me for four years when I was away at college. Once I even went so far as to pack an entire suitcase with sundrop when I went to Hawaii for a trip. My family thought I was crazy but after a couple days they were begging to get into my sundrop stash. I'm a loyal consumer and beg that Sundrop expands their market. It's too good to deprive any more people from missing out on this delicious beverage.

Best Diet Drink Ever
Diet Sundrop is the best tasting diet soda on the market. It's the only diet soda I drink - and boy do I drink plenty. I hope you never discontinue it or change the formula. It's perfect. When I leave the Carolinas for vacation I always wonder if I'll be able to find my Sundrop.

Country Boys Give Sundrop to California Girls
Let me just tell you. Growing up in Belmont NC just outside of Gastonia SunDrop is part of your life. I used to stop at Byrum's grocery every morning on the way to school for a sundrop and country ham biscuit. Sundrop slushies showed up in the 90's and oh boy they were good down by the river. As I got a little older we'd mix a few stronger drinks with Sundrop and came up with some homemade flavors of our own with home grown names. Later moving to California with some buddies, we had some more that would ship us Sundrop all the way out to San Diego. Now a couple of Carolina Country boys got real popular with the ladies when we had a party and served up some "Carolina Tea"...aka...Sundrop and Southern Comfort...not sure if it was the SunDrop that got them beauties happy or not...but does it really matter?

I'm in florida now and would sure love to have that "Down home feeling that picks you up" again....come on SunDrop. Get some down to Florida. They'll love it.
