Win tickets to Bonnaroo!!

Prescott Bottling & Distributing is excited to announce a chance for you to win tickets to the 10^th annual Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, TN.  That’s right, we have a little “bling” to give away.  The “bling” is in the form of tickets to the ALMOST SOLD OUT 4 day festival in June!

We have 2 pairs of tickets to give away to people of Coffee, Bedford, Moore, Rutherford and Franklin counties in Tennessee.  So if you’re a resident of one of these great counties and a fan of Sun Drop, you’re eligible!  The winners must be 18 years old or older, and cannot be employees or family members of Prescott Bottling and Distributing Co, Inc. To submit your name, just swing by Prescott Bottling & Distributing Co, Inc. at 225 North Atlantic Street, Tullahoma, TN 37388.

Sounds pretty easy, huh?  Here is the small print (some of it will be redundant, but hang in there…)

·         Sun Drop will be giving away two pairs of tickets (that’s a total of 4 tickets).

·         Employees and their families of Prescott Bottling-Distributing do not qualify.

·         Winners must be 18 years of age or older.

·         In order to qualify, you MUST have a Sun Drop Country sticker on your car.  Don’t have one?  We’ll give one to you!  (And yeah… we’ll check this out.)

Sounds pretty cool!  But what about those of you NOT in the five counties listed above?  Sorry…there are still a few tickets remaining for purchase.

Some of the readers out there may be scratching their heads. What in the world IS Bonnaroo?  While, it may sound like a hybrid mix between a Kangaroo and something else, that is FAR from what we’re talking about.

Bonnaroo is:

A four day music and arts festival started in 2002.  Every summer since, this town with a population just shy of 8,300 explodes to over 100,000 during the festival.

The festival is located in Manchester, Tennessee – off of Interstate 24 about halfway between Nashville and Chattanooga.

The festival is held every June.  This year the dates are June 9 – 11, 2011

It seems silly to have to state the reason for the festival,  because this should go without saying:  MUSIC, MUSIC, MUSIC!  Originally, Bonnaroo started out with a focus on jam bands and has grown to one of the top 50 moments to change the history of rock and roll.

The variety of music is eclectic to say the very least.  Stages are set up throughout the festival area and live music from indie rock, world music, hip hop, jazz, americana, bluegrass, country music, folk, gospel, reggae, electronica (plus others) is played.

The music is incredible, but it would be shameful not to shout out to the craftsmen and artisans that vend their craft, or the food vendors to keep the crowds well fed, or the Ferris wheel, or the silent disco, or the comedy tent, or the…you get the picture.  Sponsors of the event (that includes Sun Drop) provide activities to attendees at no cost.

Attendees can camp in tents or RV’s, or if they prefer not to “rough it” they can reserve a room.  Any question concerning the festival can be found on the official website for the Bonnaroo Music Festival.

Contest Rules

The contestant must be at least 18 years of age.  There will be only 1 entry per person.  The winner will be required to sign a release when picking up wristbands.

The contestant must be a resident of counties in the Prescott Bottling territory.  These include Coffee, Bedford, Franklin, Moore and Rutherford.  A driver’s license or state issued ID must be shown as proof when picking up the winning tickets.

Entries must be filled out in person at Prescott Bottling & Distributing Co. office at 225 NW Atlantic Street in Tullahoma.  No entries will be mailed or faxed.  There will be a box present for filled out entries, and a supply of SDC destination stickers for the contestant to take when the entry is complete.

A SDC destination sticker must be taken when the contestant enters.  This sticker must be present on the contestant’s car in order for the winning tickets to be presented.  No exceptions.

The entry form must contain the contestant’s name, address, including county of residence, phone number, both home and cell, email address and birthdate.  The preferred form of contact should be circled.

The contest will run from April 8 to May 31.  Two winning pairs of wristbands will be drawn at Prescott Bottling by an employee on June 1 at 8:30 AM.  The winners will be contacted by the office in the form the contestant prefers immediately following the drawing. The winners will have 24 hours to contact Prescott Bottling at 931-455-3974 for arrangements to be made for pick up of the wristbands.  If the winner fails to contact us within that time frame another winner will be drawn.

No employee of Prescott Bottling or their family will be eligible to participate in the contest.

Along with the winning wristbands the contestants will be presented with 2 free “Get Dropped” T-shirts to wear to the entire Bonnaroo Festival from June 9 to June 11.
