Recipe Yields: 8 servings
Ingredients:
• 6 cups sliced pears
• 1 1/2 cups Sundrop
• 1/2 cup syrup from pears
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 2 tbsps. cornstarch
• 2 1/4 cups flour
• 3/4 cups shortening
• 1/4 cup water
Directions:
Mix sugar, cinnamon, and cornstarch. Cook pears in 1 1/2 cups Sundrop until tender. Reserve juice from pears after straining. Make a paste with sugar mixture and 1/2 cup of juice. Toss pears with paste mixture and pour into pie shells. Bake 30-35 minutes at 425
PIE CRUST
Take out 1/3 cup flour, set aside. Mix flour and shortening until crumbly. Mix 1/4 cup water and 1/3 cup flour. Mix with flour mixture until dough forms. Divide into 2 equal pieces. Roll out and place in pie pan.
