Ingredients:
• 1 1/4 cup flour
• 4 eggs separated
• 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 1 tbsp. lemon zest
• 1/3 cup milk
• 1 can sweetened condense milk
• 1 1/2 cup Sundrop
• 1 cup heavy cream, 1/3 cup powder sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.Grease 9” round pan Do not flour pan.
In a large bowl, beat egg whites at low speed until foamy and bubbles cover the surface. Add cream of tartar-increasing to medium speed then high speed until soft peaks form. Add sugar slowly until stiff peaks form. Add egg yolks one at a time and beat well. Add lemon zest and vanilla mix well. Add flour and milk alternately about 1/3 of each at a time. Pour into greased pan. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degree. Cool and place on a cake plate. Poke holes in top of cake. Mix sweetened condensed milk and Sundrop. Drizzle over cake until all is absorbed.
Additional Note:
Put glass bowl and beaters in refrigerator to get cold. When bowl is cold pour 1 cup heavy cream in bowl and beat until soft peaks form. Then add powder sugar and beat until stiff peaks form. Frost Cake.
