Sun Drop Citrus Soda … Are you ready to Get Dropped!?
In the southeast, there is a little secret that has, until recently, been growing slowly. Sun Drop Citrus Soda can be compared to other citrus sodas on the market, but the fans of Sun Drop liken it to “nectar of the gods”. The fans of Sun Drop are a loyal bunch, as can be seen on the Facebook fan page, as well as on Twitter. And don’t stop there…check us out on Facebook and Twitter.
Sun Drop has been around since 1951 when it started being distributed locally and regionally. The formula was created, as the story goes, in 1949 by Charles Laziers as he was riding around town dreaming of… citrus soda. Apparently, in the southeast, its relatively common to dream of citrus soda, specifically Sun Drop because the following of this citrus soda is generations deep and as loyal as NASCAR fans are to their drivers (did I mention that Sun Drop is one of the Sponsors of the 01 Chevy car?)
The uproar has gotten pretty loud, and so Sun Drop is doing what any sensible company in this day and age would do when they have throngs of people chanting their name and demanding more and more from them: they are launching a national campaign to get their name and products to the masses!
While it may seem that I am a bit biased towards Sun Drop, take into consideration the press that it has received recently. Check out what the Kardashians have said about Sun Drop on Twitter:
So the Kardashian sisters, of course they are going to stick together, but even Kellie Pickler raved about Sun Drop on Twitter!
Sundrop is available at major retailers NOW:
- Wal-Mart (including www.walmart.com)
- Dollar General
- Kroger
The national commercials start March 9, 2011 on MTV during the Real World, and the non MTV commercials will air beginning March 10, 2011. You will be seeing Sun Drop everywhere!
Beginning in March Sundrop will be hosting its Sampling Tour 2011. Check out when you can get a sample dropped on you!
There are stories of students packing up semesters worth of this soda to take back to school with them, people driving from states over to grab a few cases, its sold on the internet and shipped all over the world… and all of this without the benefit of a national campaign! Imagine how INSANE it will be when folks can run into their favorite outlet and grab a bottle or a fountain soda.
Brace yourself! Once in a lifetime does something like this come along, and YOU are a part of its history.

I don’t even know how I ended up here, but I thought this post was great. I don’t know who you are but certainly you are going to a famous blogger if you are not already
Cheers!
Imagine my surprise to find the glorious SunDrop in an advertisement in Colorado!!!!! Do you know that it cost more to ship SunDrop than SunDrop cost? My wonderful family has been sending it to me for birthdays, Christmas, etc. I bought some here in Colorado about 3 weeks ago…. it was bottled in Plano, TX????? Doesn’t taste quite the same as what I get from Chattanooga! I tell everyone out here they have to try it now that I don’t have to share mine!
